Cancellation Policy

Client Cancellation / Rescheduling: - If the service is cancelled or rescheduled with more than 72 hours notice before the scheduled time, no fee will be charged. - Cancellations or Reschedules within 72 hours will be charged a $100 fee. Musician Cancellation: - The musician may terminate this Agreement at any time without cause or reason, in which all previously completed payments will be refunded. The Client may seek no further damages. - In cases of: sickness, breakdown of transportation, severe weather, or unsafe conditions which prevent the performance from taking place, the Musician shall not be held liable. A full or partial refund may be offered. Terms 1. Scope of Services The Musician agrees to provide live cello music performance services for funeral and memorial services. Services may include: • Pre-service music • Processional • Interlude selections • Recessional • Memorial receptions Performance duration: Between 1-2 hours per service unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Musician will provide necessary instruments and standard performance equipment (music stand, sheet music, etc.), including amplification for piano backing tracks. 2. Fees and Payment Terms 2.1 Standard Fee: $350.00+HST per service (up to 60 minutes). 2.2 Additional Fees: • Overtime: $50.00+HST per additional 15 minutes. 3. Substitutions If the Musician is unable to perform due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, the Musician reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute musician of equal professional standard at no additional cost. 4. Independent Contractor Status The Musician is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Funeral Home. The Musician is responsible for all taxes, insurance, and business expenses. 5. Liability 5.1 The Musician shall not be liable for delays caused by changes in service timing, clergy, venue restrictions, or weather conditions. 5.2 The Venue agrees to provide a safe and suitable performance environment. 5.3 The Musician is not responsible for damage to instruments caused by exposure to rain, extreme heat, cold, or unsafe conditions. 6. Term and Termination 6.1 This Agreement shall begin upon completion of the booking and completed payment. 6.2 Immediate termination may occur due to non-payment, misconduct, or breach of agreement. 7. Miscellaneous Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both Parties. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Ontario.
