Amplification
When to consider amplification:
-
Indoor receptions.
-
Outdoor events with wide open space.
-
Hosting events in a busy / noisy area. (downtown, public places etc...)
-
For the officiant / any speeches during ceremonies or receptions.
-
If your venue has poor acoustics or low ceilings.
-
Providing music to multiple rooms at a venue.
-
To feature / provide greater clarity to the music.
In certain situations, when an ensemble is aptly placed in a Large resonant space, sometimes amplification is not required, since the sound will carry sufficiently (i.e. cathedrals, churches, halls with balconies etc…).
