When to consider amplification:

  • For indoor receptions with 100+ guests.

  • Outdoor events with lots of open space, or with 75+ guests.

  • Hosting events in a busy / noisy area. (downtown, public places etc...)

  • For the officiant / any speeches during ceremonies or receptions.

  • If your venue has poor acoustics.

  • If you must provide music to multiple rooms at a venue

  • To feature / provide greater clarity to the music.

In certain situations, when an ensemble is aptly placed in a Large resonant space, sometimes amplification is not required, since the sound will carry sufficiently (i.e. cathedrals, churches, halls with balconies etc…).
